Sweet pic. I was looking at getting one to see if it will get a taste for majano. How are they on bio-load, and do they play nice with other fish? Agian sweet pic!

Good Gawd, Renae, that's the biggest fairy wrasse I've ever seen!
Is that the Scott's or the Clown-head fairy wrasse that I caught a quick glimpse of at the meeting?
Alice

What a great little beauty it is!
Just curious, I have had 2 copperbands over the years, both were bullied by the tangs ( Zebrasoma flavascens and Z. desjardinii) untill they either died or I had to remove them from the tank at near death. Any of you have success with copperbands and tangs, especially established tangs? Keep in mind we are talking about a 180 Display tank with lots of hiding places (about 250 lbs of Fiji and Marshall Is. rock AND corals)

My copperband resides with a hippo tang, which I had for about a year before getting the copperband. I have witnessed no aggression by the tang, I did have a small yellow damsel which picked on the copperband, needless to say he was exiled to the FOWLER.

Hi everyone, I’ve been lurking around here for the past few months and have enjoyed following the threads and personalities here. This is a great site!
I too have a Copperband. I’ve had him 5 day now and, unfortunately, he’s not eating. (Although the LFS said that he was well acclimated and eating) He picks off critters from the live rock but ignores frozen brine, mysisd, cyclopeeze, blood worms, flake food, and cracked mussels/clams (someone recommended the latter). Has anyone had difficulty and then had success in getting their CBB to eat prepared foods? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Best Regards
P.S. following is a picture of “Spot”:

for spp. of fishes that have polyps as part of their diet, it may be helpful to take a branching Euphyliid skeleton and push pieces of fresh raw or freshly frozen shrimp/fish/squid/clam/etc. into the septa of the ends of the skeleton's branches. The copperbands will pick the food from the skeletal ends. This is a normal feeding pattern for the butterfly fishes in general, and may stimulate them to recognize the same foods when suspended in the water column. Alice tells me that the biggest problem with using frozen shrimp is that the fish don't always like the breading...
just kidding about the breading, I have used this method with success, and had others report success as well.
