Firefish question

In a couple of months I hope to be upgrading to a 90 gallon from a 55. I decided to go ahead and pick up some fish for the reef since I'll need to give them time to adapt, get healthier, etc. Anyway, over the past couple of weeks I've added a Royal Gramma, and Scopas Tang (very VERY small)... as well as a beautiful purple firefish and a regular firefish.

In the tank before, and still, is a Clarkii clown. He's kind of mean to the new firefish but not too bad. He's pretty even temprered, not too territorial. Anyway, I'm banking on the Scopas surviving on the small algae patches (growing a bit thick) for a bit, then I plan to switch to Nori or something. The rest of the fish, though, I'm not sure. Is there anything in particular anyone can recommend to preserve the natural colors and keep the little fish fat? Both firefish, the clown, and the gramma I suppose.

I guess that makes this a feeding question, not really a firefish question! Oh well.

I dont' know much about all of them, but I do keep a gramma in my tank. He's a big guy at about 3" and just about as fat as they get. He eats anything that falls into the tank and likes to hid in his hole, chase other fish out of his hole, and fight with the angel. I once put an earthworm that I had chopped for my discus in there just to see what would happen, as the gramma had the biggest mouth he got the most! But boy was he fat after that... Just keep the variety mixed and I think you'll do fine.

I don't have any now, but when I've had firefish in the past they were always great eaters. Anything that hit the water they would eat. I never had any trouble with them.

Watch out for that clown rivalry. I lost one of my firefish to a leap out the back of the tank. I have a 55 gal. with covers. THe only gap was enough for the overflow and returns.

One of them tried to jump already. The purple firefish stays VERY well hidden, the other gets picked on. The other one jumped as soon as I approached the tank. I was able to put him back in the water safely though.

Hopefully I haven't lost them both! Haven't seen the purple since this morning, and the other since I got home from work!
