clown behavior
My clown has been hanging out around the big striped mushroom this past week, hovering really close to it. I just saw him kind of rub against it or brush up its middle. Is he trying to host with it? I am surprised he hasnot tried to host with the frogspawn.

If the clown is spending most of its time around the mushroom, and "nuzzling" up to it, then the chances are pretty high that the clown is hosting with the shroom. My percs did that for awhile, they wouldn't venture to far from the shroom unless for food. But now, they are hosting with the toadstool coral. I think they like the long tenticles...it must tickle or something the way they play in it.

I bet it is getting a feel for your mushroom! My gold stripe maroon clown has hooked up with my xenia of all things - quite odd but interesting. First I ever heard of clowns and xenia! There are many corals that clowns will host with so you never know. My clown is even starting to 'try' to sleep in it too even though it shrinks up at night. See ya!

My clown dug herself into a hole in the LR and will not leave. She also chases any other fish out of the area. She also sticks her tail into the sand and furiously swishes sand around to make her hole bigger. The pair(maroon, gold stripes) will "kiss" and nuzzle each other.

Sounds like he is trying to host the shroom. Clowns are crazy, mine tried hosting the powerhead. Now that was a sight!

During the night, my 2 Ocellaris can be found near the security of my Mag-float glass cleaner. Sometimes, I wonder about them.......
