Thumbs up

Just a shot of my buttons, seems like clutter if I just throw add new thread for every picture I take so I thought, hey why not piggyback on my own thread

Bait a small fishing hook. Don't forget to remove the barb!
Do you have another home for him?

Sadly the only home I can find for him is the LFS, not very good odds for his survival but better than the trash.

you can try a PVC labrynth. just a PVC pipe with one end capped. hopefully the eel will like to hide in the PVC pipe. when the eel is in it you can cap off the other end with the eel in it.

Let me know if you want me to come over to help you catch him...

Nice zoos....are those the ones that you got last year from The Sea? Or from the frag swap a couple of weeks ago?

He has eaten a couple of fish, all my crabs, all my shrimp, is a sloppy eater causing polution, and is slowly nipping my scopas tang to death.

I know I am a bad reefer for not looking to the future when I bought him. He has turned out to be more aggressive than expected on the down side. He will bite anything that comes near his head. On the plus side he has never tried to escape.

No need to be fancy - get a length of PVC, about a foot (longer if the eel is larger) and 2 nets. When he goes into the pvc, pick the pvc up with a net at each end, and pour him into a bag or bucket. If using a bucket, use a lid because he'll jump out.

Their natural tendency to hide in tunnels makes catching them rather easy.

Eric P that is a generous offer but I do not feel comfortable shipping coral much less the eel. I just do not have the experence or the supplies to be sure it would arrive alive. Sorry,

Sorry to here your having problems with the critter. Had mine for some time now, with no problem. Thinking about moving him to my reef, when I take down my FO tank. Not totally sold on that idea yet, though.
