Banggai Babies update
Well it's been about a week and a half and the banggai are doing well! I started with 13 (although I expected more, they never came) and still have all 13 today! I feed 3-5 times a day and can really tell they are growing. Here is a pic from a week and a half ago 12-28-01:
And now some from 1-5-02, enjoy:
I am now going to try to ween them on to dead food.
Drew

Great pics Drew! Just wait till they get to be 4 months old! You might try weaning onto the freeze-dried copepods from www.jehmco.com. Two weeks is a good time to start combining baby brine and dead foods.
My male is finally pregnant again...yeah!

Congrats Drew! I still have all eight of the babies I was able to rescue from the tank too! Keep up the good work! Ours are ten days old today. My wife says that they have grown a lot. I can't tell since I am working with them every single day.

Loved those pics Drew. I am trying to get a mated pair myself. I started with three so two would pair up. They did, so I took the third back to LFS and then one died. So I went and bought one more and they hate each other. Must be boys. So now I am contemplating going and get two more, then maybe two will pair up so I can take two back.
Maybe I can wait until yours grow up and you will sell me one??

I hope you have better luck than me getting yours on prepared foods. I have tried for two weeks to get mine on prepared foods. I've tried the freeze dried copepods (cyclopeze) and my homemade food..and they will put in their mouths and then spit it right back out. I've been mixing it in with live brine also. Maybe I need to let them go hungry for a day or two...they are a month old. Let me know how it goes..and what type of prepared foods you are feeding.

Hey Drew. I was just looking at your pictures again. They look like they are about the same size as mine. It looks like our Bangers are finally growing into their eyes.

Thanks everyone, I'll keep you updated. Homer, in a few months if you are still looking for one I could certainly hook you up with a female. I'll let ya know, cause I think Gareth is getting one too.

Hey Gareth, good to see you here!
I'm still trying to get them onto non-live foods, some are starting to take it, others aren't. But either way they are growing quickly. And the seahorses are doing awesome too. They have all changed colors since I got them but you can see them here.
BTW: Did you get a frag of that purple tipped acro at the last meeting? If so how's it going for you? Mine has turned brown.
