good luck with that fish. They are hard to acclimate and f\get onto prepared food. I never recommend then to anyone.

A nice Hawiian tang is a Palani. If you can get one they are gracful fish.

As M42 said good luck. I spent my $100 only to find this fish hide in the rocks, wouldn't eat, and died in less than a week. The Achilles is one of my favorite Tangs but I can't afford to buy more than 1 to have it just die. I wish you the best of luck as they are beautiful fish but I won't have another one.

When I first got mine, he came down with ick. Hypo treatment didn't work so I resorted to copper. He's been just fine ever since. (for so many years now I don't even remember) Mine never hides, but is continually swimming, just like the Powder blue and the Powder brown does.
The Naso and Sailfin are quite passive but the Hippo hides a lot unless I move slowly around it's tank.

These fish don't seem to handle shipping stress well. If yours was eating well, was out and about at the LFS and now seems to be out and about in your tank, I'd say you have a good shot at success.

Lots of Nori, treated with garlic and Selcon, should be fed to both your tangs every day. Watch out for aggression between the two tangs and have everything you need to set up a QT in case they do break out with ich.

Good luck!

Alice
