Woohoo... Got my UPS unit all hooked up... :)

Well I finally have my APC Matrix 3000 UPS unit all hooked up and running... No more worries about flooded stand/cabinet when the power goes out and the wife can't get it all shut down fast enough. It was originally supposed to be a APC 2200XL but UPS managed to demolish it in shipping, it was not repairable so a Matrix 3000 was sent in it's place. I have a total of 3 smart cells (battery packs, it can take up to 9 daisy chained together) for it, it should be able to run my main pump for a good 18 hrs at least... It's taken a month to get it all straightened out since UPS trashed the 2200XL but it's all set up finally...

Cath APC makes top of theline UPS battery back ups... You definately will want a "XL" model like the 2200XL. The XL stands for "extended run time", they aremeant for continuous duty over a longer period oftime. Down side is they are not cheap. Watch EBAY, you can find some decent deals... Also if you can go the route of a "APC Matrix 3000 or 5000" they are even better. They not protect against power outage but against surges as well. If you want, PM me a number and a good time to call and I can give you some more info.
