What Salt Do You Use ?
I'm curious on the type of salt many reefers use to mix water. Does anyone like one brand better than the other ?
I use Catalina water..... what about you ?

RO/DI with Reef Crystals. I used the Catalina water in my old set up however began to have alga/bug problems possibly related to transport and holding tank @LFS.

In every forum I have asked this question, the majority was the same. R/O or DI with Instant Ocean.
Has anyone ever used the other brands ? Any negative feedback from them.
Since I have been using Catalina Water, my water quality seemed "better". I guess you can't really beat the real thing.

Out here in California, there is a small Island about 45 miles offshore from the coast called Catalina. Large tanker ships from a company called Catalina Water goes and collects thousands of gallons of water to be sold to the LFS in California. To make it short, it's real ocean water collected around an Island called Catalina.

I just bought a big bucket of coral life salt. Should I take it back? They didn't have any IO salt so I thought this would be fine. Let me know if I should exchange it. Thanks!
