Refugium Question

What should I put in my refugium? I have a crushed coral base, some live rock, and some Caulerpa. What kind of critters and other stuff should I put in there? Thanks for the input!

Sounds like a good start. Depends on what your refugium is for. If it is for algae scrubbin, or nitrate reduction, caulerpa is all you need. If you are trying to breed fish or anything or house a fish, you need to meet those needs. I would get some good live sand and some starter pods like those from IPSF site. Mine is used for both nitrate reduction and to provide a steady supply of mysis shrimp for my seahorses. I have mysis shrimp, grammus shrimp, copepods, ampods, little brittle stars, bristleworms..etc in it along with grape, razor and fern calurpa. I grow tang heaven in it to feed my tang, and prune it once a month for nitrate reduciton
