propagation tank

I picked up my new prop tank from Myreef today. The dimensions are 48x24x12. Here's a pic of Andy drilling for the closed loop system.

Mind if I ask the damages?

BTW: is the acrylic glue known by a trade name in Home Depot/ Lowes, etc? I have looked before but no luck.

Uhhhhh. You better ask Andy that. I'm not sure he makes these on a regular basis.

Mike that's the newest member of the OFR club.

Here's a pic of Billy (Xeniaphobe) trying to get a Beckett injector to seat in a new skimmer.

I'm still on the fence about the lighting. I already have a dual 175 watt MH fixture that I got really cheap this year. If I decide to use it I'll use Ushio 10,000K. Or I'll swap out the ballasts and go with my favorite bulb, 250 watt Iwasaki and actinic supplementation. The tank is only 12" deep so 175's should work well.

I still haven't figured out all the plumbing details. I'm taking my time with it. I've spent a lot on reefing recently so I need to give the wallet a break.

I do want to add that the workmanship on this tank is outstanding. The top frame is 3/4" thick so a center brace was not neccessary. Thanks Andy.

isn't it incredible, how quickly you can EMPTY a wallet with this hobby???

Looks like Billy is living by the phrase "if it doesn't fit, force it...it'll fit the next time"

Thanks Rick....

I happened to make myself a prop tank the same time I made Rick's....the dimensions on mine are 40x18x13...(I think).

Mike, i am not sure who that guy is....but he always looks back at me in the mirror. Before I look in the mirror, I still think I have a full head of hair. LMAO
