LR shipping question

Is there a real advantage to getting LR shipped over night as compared to 2nd day. I am going to try the ffexpress deal. I can not tell if they truly hand pick at thier location or are they like everyone else and pretty much just move the box onto you. if they actually hand pick then i can see the advantage.

any experiences,

G~

It is not hand-picked, it is Walt Smith transhipped, no need for overnight in my opinion, most stuff is already dead anyway.

You should go with their $151.00 deal it is 45 lbs of Walt Smith Preimium Fiji Live Rock and standard overnight shipping is included. I bought 90 lbs in one order that way and the rock was awesome rock covered in Coraline algea and I had some hitchhikers but I used mine to cycle my tank and I don't think they survived execept the worms and the pods.

digital_dragon-it is the same stuff for $151 but it is $138 using 2nd day. I was going to try this and if I like i will get more to top off, and if not then I will go with the PA LR.

Thanks,

G~

Geoff is it really worth that extra $13 dollar for it to sit in a box for two days in cold weather? You are killing me here man.

In the spring or fall you could probably get away with it but winter if you wish to keep any cold intolerant life in those rocks take the overnight. JMHO Good luck.

I got that same deal about a month ago, (from FFExpress) if I remember correctly, there was a heat pack in the box. The way I feel about it, the sooner you can get it back to normal water conditions and temp. the better..... BTW, the rock is doing great, lots of corraline on these guys, and great colors!
