Help Needed-asap
OK, I'm trying to locate that Home Depot sand that everyone keeps talking about--is this the playground sand made by Quickrete (has some pictures on the bag--comes in 50 lb bags)--I tried asking for the southdown (I think that's what I remember it being called), but they don't recognize that title/name. Are there ingredients I should be aware of/look for to make sure I've got the right stuff?
I'm moving tanks this week (yeah...) and wanted to replace the DSB (yes, I'm keeping some of the "seeded" sand).
Thanks!

I believe it is now called Old Castle. If you search the board, I believe the sku is out there. The difference is that it is silica-free sand. However, several people on here use the Quikrete stuff apparently without problems.

SouthDown Carribean Playsand
It should say aragonite on the package...
The package is blue and red... both the southdown and old castle look the same with the exception of the name...

Make sure you look outside in the garden area. Alot of time the pallets with the sand stay outside not with the normal sand that they keep inside year round. Any sand you use you are going to want to make sure it is silica free or your in for some HORRIBLE diatom blooms
