I know of a very good club in Atlanta area, I will try to track down one of their members.

The octopus would be cool, but they are very short lived and require their own tank .

Do a search on building stands, I don't know what to say about support stand wise.

Most people do not use ozoniators for home aquariums. HTH

Keep the questions coming.

Question

OK HELP PLEASE

OK, This is a quote that I got if you all would please give some info on weather this is a decent deal or if i would be paying to much.(11K total budget available) here is the quote and the photos

Our Bow Fronts have a 3/4" solid wood cabinet 34" tall and a 8" canopy for V.H.O. or 12" canopy for Metal Halide lighting and are finished In your choice of stain and lacquer and the aquarium Is 24" on the ends and bowed out to 30" at the center and are 30" tall.

Our Bow Fronts have the best of equipment that we designed and built just for our aquariums, they are reef ready with a quality 3/8" thick WET & DRY Bio Logical Sump with our Down Draft Protein Skimmer tee'd and gate valved off of the finest and most quiet and inexpensive pump to operate on the market (1 1/2 amps at 3000 G.P.H.) . (The Aqua Seas Amp Master Series) This will be your return pump to circulate your aquarium 10 times per hour (low amps, cool running, and quiet) and completely turn key ready to go with Three watts of V.H.O. Actinic lighting per gallon of water, with electronic ballast and cooling fan and timers. If you did do a live reef, the only thing we would have to add to your system would be a chiller.

Now because we can not ship the aquarium on the cabinet, (It Is to tall after It Is plumbed). We will remove and ship the aquarium next to the cabinet and canopy on a over size pallet, then after the aquarium Is delivered and put into place on the cabinet and depending on the size of your aquarium, you will have One or Two Pre/Filters (overflow box) there will be either Two or Four main connections to connect that have already been pre- plumbed with color coded screw disconnects. You just connect the main connections and plug In and fill with R.O. water and salt and set the timers and your ready to go.

Now let me give you some sizes and cost. If It's going to be a double BowFront with a Island Cabinetry (Finished on all sides and used as a room divider) you need to add $1000.00 to the base price. And add 11.15% to the gallons for size.

72" 252 gallon $5995.00 Two Pre/Filters And Lid Set
96" 336 gallon $7995.00 Two Pre/Filters And Lid Set
And as part of the Special we will also give you and plumb Into the sump of your Wet & Dry a free Bio Denitrater, ($750.00 value) this will eliminate all 30% monthly water changes. And as our special we will also pay the shipping and handling ( $800.00 value)

OK, questions,

1 is this a decent price
2 this sounds like a turn key type of set up whats missing?(out side of Fish )
3 I do want a reef tank would I really need a chiller???

Looking fordward to all the input

Thanks
T.
