Well casey I do not have those types of corals in my tank so not an expert to give you advice. Some signs of white tips can be new growth or bleaching which means they are dying.
What type of lights do you have on your set-up?

Very nice. White or lighter colored tips is normal. You better clear some land for that slimer.
I feed mine golden pearls every other day. There was a time when I wasn't feeding the corals anything, they were getting what the fish didn't eat or had already processed. I can't really tell a difference since starting the GP's but I'm sure in time I will.

Brine Shrimp Direct sells Golden Pearls.
Maria I tried to order the three smallest sizes but they were out of the rotifer size so I ended up with the "active spheres" and "clusters" sizes.
Casey I have a partial pic of my slimer in my tank specs. The coral was started from a one inch frag less than two years ago and it's now almost twelve inches across. You'll enjoy that coral.
