Looking for Amphipod, Mysis, gammarus, copepods, worm pics.
Hello,
I thought it might be a good idea for everyone to post pics. of any amphipods, gammarus/mysis shrimp, copepods, bristle worms etc. A lot of newbies and even some old salts get these critters crawling around and are not always sure what they are. Anyway I think it would be nice to have some macro pics for the archives and for identification purposes.
Thanks!

This might be a little more appropriate for those trying to ID these miscellaneous crustaceans, as this site is referenced and verified:
Crustaceans of the Australian Oceans.

These are probably not harmful at all. They are most likely a small species of the Genus Arene (Astrea) or possibly of the Genus Macarene snail. The differences are minute as the two families are closely related. They are perfectly reef safe and will graze film algae at night. They can reproduce quickly, becoming a small army in a short period of time.

Regarding MontanaRocknReefer's Post
I've got these little snails suddenly appearing all over my tank. I started a thread asking about how they reproduce but didn't get much response. It's good to know they are reef safe.
