Hommeworks, that is what I thought too. Just when I would get the prettiest clam I thought, another would come along that was even nicer. It does happen. I haven't found any 2 patterns to be exact, similar but never exact. So make room as I have done.

I have my clams {all 13}under 3 250w 65k iwasakis and they have done very, very well. I have{2} crocea,{9} maxima, a derasa and a squamosa. I think they are all nice in their own way as the dfifferent species have different patterns. They are calcium hogs and if smaller than 2" they need to be feed supplementally. I feed DT's and the new product KoralvitF from clamsdirect. This product is great and geared towards clams and their own basic needs, food wise. Here are my 2 crocea.
