OH Phooey I need a new TDS meter

This stupid (second) one that I have has started up again. The LCD just scrolls different random numbers.

What are you guys using for TDS hand held water proofs? Any one that you would recommend? The one that I have (DID I MENTION IT'S THE SECOND ONE?) has gone on the fritz again.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Jerel

I've had very good luck with the Hanna "Primo" model.

which ones NOT to get...

Well, I can add to the do NOT purchace list... I have had problems with the Milwalkee and the Hanna units, but interestingly enough, the little unit that came with the Spectrapure RO/DI unit (detects either "good" or "no pass") has been working for at least 5 years now, and set up to measure the final output, detects either pass or fail based on 17 microSeimens max level. That is all I am really interested in anyway... ... but I would like a device that does the numbers if it were inexpensive enough.

I'll watch this thread.

Tom, that's what Mr. Gibbs at Spectrapure sent me too. You're right, those units keep on ticking. I've been using the hand held to test the bucket first to see if I need to climb under the kitchen cabinet to read the Spectrapure unit.

ROTFLMAO!!!

HEH HEH HEH!!! THIS is a good reason to move the unit to the Washroom above the Washer!

Seriously, I am looking at several units, some are reasonable, some are outrageous (Cole and Palmer, for example), I had a list of addy's for the companies that sold these items just prior to the power surge frying my 'puter after the ice storm, I will be rebuilding that list in the meantime. Would be nice for folks to post any addy's they might have for sources of different tds meters and related electronics...(hint, hint, wink, wink, nudge, nudge...)
