Amen to what you said Jay!!

We have people here on the board who have had fish spawn like cardinals and clowns, etc and raised the young ones to adult stage!

I have bred bangaii cardinal fish. Raised over 100 of them. I have kept some of the offspring (have 2 pairs) and they have started to spawn but the males have not been succesfull in holding the eggs till term...maybe they are too young. Its a lot of work to breeding the fish, but rewarding because you hope that you are saving some from being taken out of the ocean.

Yep, I try... but I have very little to do with the spawning part.

Yeah, I'm trying to get a pair of offspring to do the same and am running into the same problem. (He drops the eggs just a few days shy of term.) This pair is about 15 months old, and I'm just crossing my fingers that eventually he'll catch on.

Wasn't it Homer who was raising baby clowns?
