Question

Can u hatch Octopus eggs in captivity?

I work at a fish store, and we had a female octopus come in and lay eggs all over her container. Some one bought the Octo and left the eggs for us. My boss said I could take them and try to hatch them out if I wanted.

My question is, should I bother taking them?
Also, what does it involve to keep them alive if I do take em?

If you are successful I am sure you can have a job at any public aquarium. Call your local public aquarium and see what kind of advice they can give you. This is definately a question for a marine biologist.

I feel bad for the buyer; octos die shortly after laying there eggs.

It was probly a Bimac, and that being the case; It isn't hard to do if you are prepared for the brood.

You will find all the info and advise here www.tonmo.com
