I'd like to see some levels from the area where the samples were collected so we can have something to compare to... otherwise the numbers are just numbers...

Thing is too, alot of those countries are still producing and using fertilzers and pesticides that have long been banned from use in modernized countries. remember that big one, ddt? scary to think that stuff is running off into the oceans and impacting the reefs.

The full article has the tables with comparisons to NSW, there were different levels based on the amouns in increasing levels on ammonia based nitrogen and inorganic phosphorus, the thrust of the article is that as levels increase, both mutagenesis and loss of function odcurred.
