tiny white worm

Hey, I was checking out my tank yesterday and saw a teeny tiny little white worm trucking accross the inside of the glass- It's no bigger around than a hair and it was MAYBE 1/4 inch long- just white- no color- is this a good worm or a bad worm? If it's bad, will mt clener shrimp eat it or do I need something else?
(So far I've just seen one)

Thanks!!

Jennai

(I couldn't get a pic but will try again if I see it again)

It was so small I couldn't really tell is it was transparent. I thought it was a piece of thread, but it moved and it did move pretty fast

I hope it is the good kind!!

as your tank matures you will see all kinds of funky worms. most of the swim also. that is a site to see. all action-not a whole lot of direction.

do you have southdown as a substrate? i did not remember seeing these with my old crushed coral substrate, but now i have them all over the place.

if you look really close you will see a head with 2 antennae type things on it. i think they are just another type of bristle worm. good things. good ol' polychaetes worms.

I bought some "Live Sand" in a bag from the pet store- bout 40 bux for 20 lbs- I think it was actually live because my tank didn't go through a major cycle like it did years ago when I started it with LR-

I won't worry about the worms til something comes up missing I guess- lol

I DO have a question though- I read all over the place 2 different sides to bristle worms- some say get em out they are evil, and some say they are fabulous- I bought the lights (grrr) so am now gonna do soft corals and things like that- if they ARE bristles, is this bad? I hate opposing viewpoints- lol

HELP!
