does anyone know of a good spot to purchuse some mangroves for my sump, and on a side note i was reading that just 40 watt grow lights are best any suggestions.

If you can wait until fall and get your local reef club involved, you can purchase 1000 seeds for white mangroves or black mangroves for $45 and share around. The source is:

i cant find anyone localy to help me with my tank so thats why all my questions are going to you guys, as far as mangroves i found out a relative lives i hawii and im trying to get her to fedex me a couple hundred

ctel. I run all the other required equipment too. The mangroves are just an ongoing experiment for fun. The mangrove tank is fed by a RIO 600 from the sump and has its own overflow with return to the sump. MM
