cyano

Starting to see some reddish or maroon typ of alge on my sand bed, was wondering if it was cyano? WHat should I do with this stuff?

get some astrea snails. they are supposed to eat the stuff.

but apparantly you have to masage them real well to get them going in the tank.

so a search in the forum for cyano. there are a lot of good threads on how to combat this stuff. usually increased water flow is a good thing. also check your water params to see if anything is out of wack.
