no email notification when a thread is responded too

it used to work now it doesn't - where in the settings do i make that authorization

This is the page where you can check your subscriptions, and the settings for notifications with them

Your automatic thread subscription is still set to Instant, so your subscriptions should be the same unless you changed it, or the site did itself for some reason. If they are correct, then it could be something wrong either with your email on our end, or your email providers end.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. One step at at time

Let us know if your email service provider is able to fix the issue on their end. Are you not getting anything at all or just really delayed emails from the responses of the threads you're subscribed to?

Just to be sure, have you done the following:

User CP > Settings & Options - Edit Options > Messaging & Notifications > Default Thread Subscription Mode > drop down menu select "Instant email notification"?

Let us know if you've done that and it works or doesn't - we'll go from there.

That's great to know, Natalie. I didn't know, or I forgot, that we are able to set the default notification. Frankly, I've never understood why anyone who subscribes to a thread would not want some kind of notification.
