What browser and URL are you using? I didn't think HTTPS is used?

firefox.

i wonder if it's a recent feature they added. showing me all sorts of warnings that my username and password are being sent using an unencrypted connection.

so i replaced http with https and got that error

i assumed that i used the site using https in the past. maybe i was not

either way, https is the way to go.

Yeah, I use FF all the time and never saw anything like that...but as you say I connect with HTTP not "s". Funny though its granted to Canadian Guitars

Hey all

The little window under the login box is a Firefox thing. Chrome has a slider note in the address bar when you go to login. It's warning you that the site is not under an SSL certificate. There is a push to get all sites that store any user information over to this level of security. Previously, it was only needed if you were banking or making a purchase. We've been working on getting our sites on to this over the last year. Tech is looking at deploying this in the next few months.

It doesn't mean your passwords are any less secure. This will just be an additional security step to protect against more specific attacks, like MIM (Man in the middle).

Dayle

ETA Guitarscanada was acquired with the SSL certificate already in place - that's why you see it there but not here yet
