2 Different kind clown fish?

I was wondering if its okay to put two different types of clown fish in a tank. I had a pair of maine mocha clowns (new type of clown fish) but they got a fungus diseases and one of them died. The other one is doing much better now and I was thinking of getting a different type of clownfish to go with my maine mocha. If I do this will the clowns become a pair? And will they host together in a anemone? (I'm not going to put a new clown in any time soon, I'm letting the other clown fully heal)

Here's a picture of a maine mocha clown (found on the internet)

You could add a juvenile Ocellaris (False Percula) clown.

The Maine Mocha is just a hybrid color variation, not really a new species. It's a cross between a black & white ocellaris and an orange&white ocellaris.

What you have is an ocellaris. They can fairly easily be paired with another ocellaris or percula. The color variety is irrelevant. Like Jadinop said, Just make sure you get a juvenile.

So we shouldn't get just another regular ocellaris?

You can if you want or you could get a black and white ocellaris.

Ocellaris will pair up with Perculas so you have that option as well. The choice is yours.

I probably shouldn't even say this, but I've got a pair of pink skunks in a BTA and a pair of occellaris in an adjacent frogspawn (they'd be in another BTA but the skunks keep them run out of it)
And in the wild, here's 3 clowns, a domino damsel and 2 species of shrimp all sharing. May not see it all in the photo, but they are there!

Well I don't really mind how fast they pair, as long as they get together.

If I get a regular clown will they host in a anemone and breed.

And my LFS sells small clownfish, the small clownfish seems the perfect size for my small BTA l, will the small clownfish leave the larger clownfish for the anemone?

will it leave it, no it wont leave it.its not gonna choose over the two but if one is in the anemone and the other is introduce it may not want the other clown. but if u want them to get together then i would try to get the same kind,if they do pair you have a better chance of them both taking a liking to the anemone

Well, the clown has no more marks on him so I put a small ocellaris clown in, the small clown went straight to the bigger one and they haven't left each others side

Congrats! They will likely stay together if they hit it off so quickly, IME.
