i got the 14k it looks pretty white now that is broken in. When its time to change bulbs im gonna pick up a quality 14k or 20k. For the price though im loving it. Pretty much the bulb is the only complaint i ever could find from anyone online. There was/is an issue with the light bracket casting a shadow thru the center of the tank. I believe they have fixed it as i dont have the issue. If yours does have the issue its a 10minute fix, free and simple.

It was by far the best bang for the buck light i could find that a lot of people had a good opinion of. The guy running the place was very helpful as well, when ever i emailed him prior to purchase he'd respond in minutes usually.

When the new t5s come out ill buy two strips because you can attach them to the halides, they are all module. Then i can run actinics and the halide.

awsome. Also, can it attach to teh tank or is it only mounted from the ceiling?

comes with some both. The hardware for hanging is nice. Its steel braided line and metal brackets, looks very sharp.

The legs are very clumsy, cheap and plastic. Obvious they were a 2nd thought in the design process and do not blend well with the sleek look of the fixture.

thats fine I don't want to hang things form my apt ceiling. Since its not my house lol

someone built an awesome L bracket that went from the stand up and over the tank. Im planning on building one over the weekend when im home and have access to tools. It looked extremely sharp. Built out of some aluminum piping.
