Thats one thing I dont know yet. I been asking on here for help. I like the lamp on the EcoCube Aquarium but I cant aford the light pendent thats over $300.00 :-(

no no thats way to much you can build one for alot better deal basic eletrical stuff u just gotta understand what you are getting

it to hard to explain over the net but simple to do in person . its gonna look like a diy project you will have to build a canopy over the tank. what watts you wanting

you can go to city eletric an get the mogul an ballast for 110.00 an then just buy bulb online so your lookin at around 160.00 200.00 all day long

thats pretty nice your wanting a pendant light then thats the way to go an then order a ballast for 100 an light for about 20 -40 so your up to 300 again

True err. Just dont want the tank to look like a DIYS tank and by putting a hood on it will make the tank heat up more. I would like to keep the top open with the glass cover it has. This is the only thing that has me hung up on.....

my tank didnt go up in temp when i put a hood on mine an i have 4- 96 pc an 3- 150 halides . its simple you build a hood to match your stand an put your light in there an you buy a 12 volt fan to vent the hood you can never tell its a diy

$129 for a 150watt metal halide. Thats what i went with for my 29g tank. I got the 14k bulb, its a cheap bulb and you can tell its not as blue as it should be but all in all im extremely happy with the fixture for the price. I was originally going to go with the 4bulb 14" T5 set up but they are switching to new models and were sold out.
VERY happy with the fixture. It feels kinda cheap when handling it, but it looks super sleek and works well.
