Cool skimmer rob... Not sure it is swaying my next purchase away from one of the other MSX skimmers, but very impressive!

Well I'll look forward to an update. The one thing I like is the MSX1A can be ran external and I must admit that is rather appealing since if I go in-sump I'll have to modify some things in my wetroom.

Wetroom? Wow, that sounds like you have a lot of space to work with, a whole room? I think you might need three of these then.

Nah... Only 300 gallons. if I go external I can leave things the way they are. If I go with an in-sump model I'll have to redo my sump and drop my total volume to around 230-240 gallons approximate... Plus after 5 years of buying too much stuff Mrs. hop is starting to frown on large purchases
But yes I have a wetroom
I just need to update my skimmer... I've been thinking about it for the last 6 months and had another pump go out on me the other night... It's just a matter of which MSX skimmer and when I can swing some funds that way Typical reefers dilemma

The pics look great. Let us know when you are ready, we stock them. I certainly do not want to get you in trouble with the other half.

It is pulling some gunk out of the system. I took some more video if it. I need to convert it over to flash so I can post it. Once I get this done I will post another link.

Can't wait to see it Rob! Although I have to admit that I'm probably going to go ahead and pull the trigger and order up a MSX250 or 300 in the next few days. But I still want to see how the MSX1A performs... Especially with the other skimmer in the system!

I do not think you would be disappointed with any of those. They are all great performers.
It is sort of interesting, if you look back over the years, the Berlin was the skimmer that everything else was compared to, wow, look at what has changed since then.

I hope there is no disappointment, although from all my research I'm willing to bet that either will be a perfect match. They are great skimmers.
It is interesting and it is really neat to see that the most recent skimmer improvements were really hobbyists making a change instead of paying high costs of a particular imported skimmer. Now we have affordable muscle cars if you will in the skimmer world! Maybe even more interesting to see where we are at five years from now
