MSX 200 Initial Setup

I just received my MSX 200 skimmer. Wow, I have to say I'm really impressed with the build quality! Fast shipping too!

Are there instructions online for this? I just fired it up, and the pump is cavitating pretty heavily and intermittently pumping. I turned it off, so as not to damage it, played with it a few times and still have the problem. Does the mesh-wheel need to be balanced or adjusted? How do I access it? It looks like the end twist-locks off but I wanted to confirm before I tried.

Update: I tried playing with it some more, blew into the air line, and it fired up! It's an absolute cyclone inside the skimmer and working great! I'm still curious though, how you access the impeller?

Sorry for the slow response, I do not get out here as often as I should.

The pumps can cavitate a little, especially during the break in period.

To get at the impeller:
remove pump from skimmer
hold the pump so that the inlet is facing you
using channel locks, grab hold of the center of the volute and twist counter clockwise about 1/8 - 1/4 turn, then the volute will pull straight out
be careful now, there is a ceramic shaft in there that us breakable
you will now have access to everything within the pump
