The Ones that got away

One of the most difficult parts of working at an LFS is not consuming all your own product

Seriously though...... you really get attached to some of your fish and corals. I have a few triggers going out this week that have been with us for a while. I thought I would start a new blog of fish that are with us... that we don't plan on keeping, and will miss when they are gone.

This first guy is the one who who we are starting the thread. I never noticed there are two niger trigers... till I accidentally ordered this one from HI. It is relatively non-aggressive. But he is a spazz, oversized, and has accidentally made us all bleed at one point or another.

OK I snuck this in there. This Purple tang came to us pretty beat up. I knew we could save it... but it has recovered remarkably fast. The Lateral line is barely visible now. It has a permanent home in our frag tank.

OK here are two more permanent residence (for sale but at an inflated price). We realized we were loosing money catching fish out of our coral tanks from knocked over corals killing each other. Fish in coral tanks are not for sale.... not for regular retail prices anyhow

Here is another tough one. SWE customers are typically reefers. This beautiful Huma has been with us since day one. It just got tagged from Underwater Creations for a maintenance account. As a business owner I am glad to see it go... as a lover of animals...
