I got to see the shop today. It is the cleanest and nicest setup I have ever seen! Fritz you have a great shop on your hands and thanks for the tour. I really liked fritz jr....hahahha, beautiful fish though. I will come again to pick up some rock and many other things when I am back up to my parents. Great pricing and very knowledgeable!

hmm .. didn't know such a wonderful store was a few hours away. I'm near Des Moines, Iowa what would be the best way to transport fish on the ride back home .. roughly 4hrs away from your store?

4hours, bags and cooler to keep the temp is fine. Plenty of us take critters 4 hours to swaps in Chicago (~8 hours). Let us know you are driving so we can use larger bags with more air to water ratio. In the summer we usually have more coolers than we need... I hate filling the land fills, but we just did it with a dozen boxes today In the winter you should call us before you come if you need some.
Be sure in the Dead of winter and peak of summer that you take your critters in if you stop for food.
In short 4 hours is nothing. Sometimes we have shipments take 2 days to get to our tanks.
Li can do shipping for you as well if you so chose.

Buddy and I were up there a few weeks back. Beautiful store, amazing selection. Its nice to finally have a place thats designed and ran by reef keepers for reef keepers. I do think the prices on some of the frags were a bit steep but we're from a lot smaller area so I wasn't too surprised with inflation in MPLS area. The dry goods prices though couldn't be beat. Staff was really friendly and gave us a tour of the place and everything. We will definitely be back again!
