That video of Li getting squirted is hilarious. It is too bad it stopped.

Well, unfortunately not everything is happy in the 300. The PBT Didn't make the change from his personal kingdom to the pack well. It would eat a bit but was pretty shy. The unicorn seemed to protect it from the other fish. Eventually it broke out with what looked like ich. That really is strange since it came from a coppered system to a system that just finished a 2 month copper treatment. over the week it became more and more pale and ate less and less.
We pulled the PBT to the back in a QT, but it looked pretty rough. I've scratched the PBT from the list. I tried a few Blue head wrasses and they didn't make it long in QT. They too have been scratched from my list.
We have the Queen in QT and are soon to decide if she will be the last fish or we will still look for a darting type wrasse or not. We are excited to get to the stage where everything is past the worry-phase, without disease, and eating aggresivly!

End of Summer Update.

The good: The tank looks great and everything is functioning as expected. The fish are growing. Especially the vlamingi... surprised? Sometimes I feel the same tank could be done in a 125... all the fish are right up front begging for food all the time. Still, I love the space in the DD tanks and feel the lost 1' of retail space is worth the impressive look.
We have a nice Emperor Angle we hand picked in LA. It is going through QT and having trouble. Fortunately we caught the problem early on and it looks like it will pull through. I just had lunch at the Mall of America Rainforest Cafe' and saw some sweet Emperors there... Cross your fingers for us!

The Bad: We brought home a wonderful goat fish from LA. He received prophylactic medication and QT for 4 weeks and looked like it was going to be a wonderful addition. Unfortunately the squirrel, of all things, pestered him to no end the first night he was in there. The next day he broke out in disease and the third day died. It was one of the scariest diseases I have seen. We quickly coppered up the tank, but not before loosing the small angle and female Xhatch trigger (who also died in one day after getting sick).
The Male Xhatch broke out in beautiful color after the Female died... My wife watches these threads, so I can make no further comment on this situation.

Sometimes fish are best at the LFS's show tank Glad you like him!

I'm seriously contemplating a regal for an SPS tank at home. Regal, Emp, Queen tops IMO!
