The new catharsis has been up and running for a month now. It looks great with one huge island. One project we haven't been able to get to is raising the aquarium a little higher for foot traffic. The height of a
biocube is perfect next to your bed or couch, in the store it is too low however.
This time around we ripped the rubble rock out of the back and shoved a phosphate reactor in the middle chamber. We won't have room for a Tunze skimmer this way (easily the most popular skimmer for a bio-cube)... at least I don't think there is room. In any case we want to try this method for algae control in the
nano. We know it works great in the larger tanks.
Our breeding clowns (have had them for years now), are back in the tank checking it out. I will be excited when we can get the RBTA in there to color up things.
