Was there something in particular that you were interested in? I don't really have anything that's ready to be fragged right now except for a rock with some green monti cap. All my other more exotic stuff has already been promised to others. If you'd like, I'll put you at the top of the list for the next harvest.

No, I wasn't looking for anything in particular, I was just being curious as I know you also have some very nice stuff. I am looking forward to finally meeting you at the BBQ as well.

2 big SATA HD's and a gig (2x512) of memory plus hours of tweaking and finally a high watt Power supply to power all the USB devices... I believe lightning got me, but the UPS still seems good. I had backups, but I think that I'll throw the HD's in the freezer to see if it will temp fix them to download a few things from them.

Okay, so you were approaching the point of a new computer.

Good luck with the freezer trick. A few years back I got a Compaq laptop at work. It would run for about 15 minutes and then just die. I would try to start it back up but it would not come on. So, I put the entire laptop in the freezer for a half hour. Took it out and it booted right up and ran for another 15 - 30 minutes before it overheated again. When we got in touch with technical support to get an RMA number to return it for repairs I told the technician that it had an overheating issue. When he asked how I knew I told him that it got almost hot enough on the underside to start papers on fire, I did not tell him it got better after being in the freezer for a while.

It was geat getting to meet everyone at the BBQ today. I'm so glad that all of us upstate reefers (and those from Martin!) could get together and hang out and talk about reefs/corals. I was also very excited to get the brand new membership card (great job Tony). I feel a real sense of community now with this reef club, and just wanted to thank everyone for being a part of the club. Hope to see everyone again at next month's meeting!
