New rics from CoralFanatics.com

Hey guys, I just picked up the package from the post office about 30 mins ago and pulled everything out and now they are floating to match the temperature in my tank. I am very pleased.

You can see pics of the rics that I bought in my previous thread- http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=113235 .

Here are some pics of them floating-

FTS

You can really see that green on in there-

I'll have new pics of them in my tank probably tomorrow or at the latest Friday.

Looks like they are in very good shape. I will be waiting to see them in your tank.

Ok. Well here are some bad pictures taken by my phone since I dont have a camera.
The three on the rock coming out- lime green, pink w/ purple, and gold colorish

Green, blue, orange, purple/gold, and yellow w/ purple, then a blue one and a cool faded out orange colored one.

Flourescent green and two blue's

Really bad pic but it's the little blue one on the left and the big one is a 3 mouth pale purple color.

Another bad pic of two very nice orange w/ green mouth rics (it was one when I got it but I cut it and it's completely healed in < 3 days.

Another pic of another orange ric w/ orange mouth. Same deal as the other one, cut it when I got it and it's already healed.

My lighting doesn't show the colors very well. I'm not going to sell/trade for awhile, until I have multiples of everything. I'm planning on tying in another ten gallon as a frag tank with this ten gallon that will have a 24'' 2x 24 watt Icecap retro from reefgeeks, or if I can find a MH that's cheaper I'll get that.

Okay Lance, the camera phone pics will satisfy for a little while, but you are going to have to post some real pictures eventually.

Are they everything you expected them to be?

Did you get them delivered to the University post office? I've been too scared to try and buy anything online because I'm afraid Clemson will screw it up and kill everything

Just wondering how you did it. And I need to stop by and check out your tank one day. Seems kind of stupid not to seeing as I can walk there in 10 mins.

Well not these. I ordered from Sealife.inc about two weeks before this and lost half of the rics because the box said "perishable" so they put it in the freezer before I picked it up.....

But the coralfanatics jsut says fragile so it just stayed with all the other mail.

In the freezer!?! Exactly the reason why I don't trust our post office. I guess if I order anything I'll have to be ready to run there as soon as they're in or make sure the shipper writes FRAGILE all over the box.

And is it common for rics to heal in less than 3 days? I've got an orange and purple on in my tank but I don't want to kill the little bugger. It's my favorite coral so I wouldn't mind another, but I'd rather not lose it completely trying to cut it up

Yea. It shouldn't be a problem, as long as the box doesn't say "perishable" it's good.

Yes the ric's should heal the wound within a couple days but it will take a couple weeks to regrow and become circular again.
