Sweet! I'd recommend a pinpoint controller. Check out the ARC forum (their own forum, not the one on TRT), the often have stuff like that for sale.

very nice! Do not waste your money on a Milwaukee brand controller, go ahead and get a PinPoint. I'll show you the setup for getting a second column running and a probe holder for the controller.

Tom... what about using something like an AC jr to control it all? with a pinpoint probe of course... any ideas on that type of setup??

It's been done, but if you already have the neptune, then it could be ost effective, otherwise, just get the PinPoint pH controller unit and use it as the controller for the CO2 and pH within the reactor: smart, simple, (relatively) inexpensive, and reliable.
Next time you're by the house, I'll show you the gories on this and why I prefer the PinPoints.

Thanks Tom.. i was thinking about getting an AC jr, and it has the capability to control pH and a CO2 solenoid. Trying to find a used Pinpoint is hard to catch if you aren't right on top of it...that and i want one for cheap without a probe, cause i want to start with a new probe..but don't want the $200 price tag that is included just for the pH controller/probe.i'll figure out what i am going to do shortly... i will have to get one soon so i can set the reactor up...

Call and speak with Tim or Margi, sometimes it helps to speak to them re: price, tell them you are part of the locallized groups from TRT, that may get you a discount, and they are TRT sponsors. You definitely will ant a new probe, I have a few that are > 2 yrs old, but they start drifting from calibration as they age, sometimes to the point that they are useless as pH controller probes. It is also smart to have a separate pH probe and meter for the tank to make sure you're not overdosing the tank on CO2.

Tony, save a few bucks on the probe/meter/controller:

I've used these guys before, great customer service and the prices are right.
