My "In-wall Pico"

Well i figured i would post since im setting up a new tank, I found a 200g oceanic, it's 7'x2'x2'. I wanted to frame up a room in my den and add a floor drain and laundry sink in there to make tank maintenance easier. I haven't gotten much more finished than the walls up and tank in. It is going to be a some what slow build due to other things i have going on. Plus i want to finish redoing the den before i really set the tank up ( new floors paint ect.).



Oh yeah, don't you just love my misleading titles? lol!

I do have a suggestion though... you may want to remove the drywall in the front above the tank and add an access panel there. you will find that inevitably one day you will need to get access that can only get to from the front of the tank

Yeah, I've honestly been thinking about that, not sure what im going to do just yet. If nothing else i have a nice pair of swim trunks and a snorkel mask lol.

Looks nice!maybe you can have the front come off with velcro on the back,with some kind of molding coering werethe seem would be.Also on the right side is that the stud and insulation?

hope you dont mind my bargin in on yall club......but that looks like its gona be a sweet setup....i would agree with the access panel....might suck trying to get to the front from the back....

Yup stud wall, I built the walls for a 180g tank, then i found this one so had to do a little modding lol i cut the 1/2" rock out because i needed 1/4" more room. made sure it fit, slid it back out a bit added a lil more insulation and put a piece of 1/4" rock back lol.
