Fish Died
Lost my Coral Beauty , Yellowtail Damsel and My Clarki Clown all in about a day and a half. Thought they had ich a week ago and started treating them and everything was looking good. All my parameters were good and went to OF today to double check everything was good. Any Ideas on what it could have been??????

Sorry for your loss. It could have been external or internal parasites, infection, or poor acclimation. Were they eating OK?

well if all your levels were ok my fist guess would be a parasite or something in the medication you used. what type of medication did you use, how much, and how big is you tank?

medication was my thought exactly. either the wrong kind or was overmedicated. ich shouldnt have wiped out a tank like that, unless they developed secondary infections as a result. were the gills fine or did they have a pinkish substance excreting?

Frank,
There gills were fine, they were eating good and I gave them them suggested medicene and dose per OF. I trust those guys alot so I dont believe it was the medicine unless the parasite wasnt ich. But After treating them they were clearing up. After a week the tank was doing good and then all of a sudden the Damsel looked bad one night and the next morning was floating. Then the other two started looking bad. There eyes were hazy and fins were rough looking and lost alot of there color then in hours they died. I did a water change lastnight and Im going to wait a couple of weeks and let the tank cycle whatever it is before I doing anything else. OF mentioned it could have been anything that my wife cleans the house with.
(febreeze,windex,etc)

It's possible that your tank may have entered a mini cycle and killed everything off when the Damsel died. Make sure that all you Parameters are in check again before you add another fish, then add more fish very slowly .. like a week between each one... that way your tank has time to catch up for the bioload.

could have been a secondary infection then which results manytimes after ich. no telling what is was now. but like tony suggested, stat anew. but get a relativley inexpensive fish (not a damsel, maybe firefish?gramma?)and monitor slowly. safety sake i would fallow for 4 weeks though adding inverts or corals only IMO.

Tony I thought I waited long enough between adding fish. I first got the Clarki then 2wks later got the Coral Beauty and Damsel together. Possibly putting the Damsel and Coral Bauty at the same time may have done it. I dont know but Im definatly going to be extra careful this time.
