Should be fun. I was at three bucks too..then somehow this weekend went a little nuts. It is fun to see everyone do this so many ways.

Painting Shanty...
Well lets just say i had no idea how to paint the back of the tank for starters.
I had a goal of putting water in today, but that is out the window since my tape job pealed off some of the paint. So I decided to set up an emergency paint shanty due to light rain, and the desire to get the show on the road so to speak.
Yesterday I also upgraded the rusty screws that were holding the canopy on the tank to wood.
Tinkering w/ some easy lighting ideas may go pc or t5 retrofit.
Are there 18" t5s?

May I suggest multiple light coats instead of heavy coats when using spray paint. Use a back and forth pattern and go about 6" past each side. If you have an area that is missing some spray, go over it with a sweeping motion. This will help stop the dripping that you have, and make taking the tape off easier. Also if you notice that paint is coming up with your tape, you can always use a razor blade.

Thanks husky, they are made of calcium carbonate and I collected them from a sea wall last summer, they have been cooking since then.

Looks kind of interesting with those rocks. Your tank is really going to look great all put together!
