Thank kelli, now I just need a cool fishy friend like yours. Maybe my Flame angel, if I could catch it.

I love mine, not too much of a nipper. It does piss off my clowns though, always in their business.

They don't call me fish freak for nothing...

Well I walked into the LFS I work at on-again off-again, and there was a beautiful hex tank that my boss got for free. Man I bought it on the spot for $25.
Cleaned it out and filled to see the clarity and it was pretty good.
Thought about moving another tank and returned it and left.
I get to thinking about it and talk to a couple people and decided I STILL WANT IT!

So I call Lynn, my gf, and tell her to meet me there to check it out. She Liked and gave me the

Its a 24.7 gal TruVue, but using the inside measurement it's 23

Im going to need some help to build a stand I already traced out the base, but Im not sure how to angle the 2x4s to make the base. I might even by a new 2x4 to make it square.

I am thinking the pair of my clowns my torch for a nem and keeping it simple. Im thinking 3-4 18"t-s and a XP3 for flow. I am even thinking a DSB or not. Im still not 100% on it unless some one can provide an old pendant for trade or something it will be medium to low light.
Anyway the whole build so far is up to 29.75

had i walked in behind you and seen it there for 25 bucks, you wouldnt have had that second chance!!!

borrow a power miter saw (if you were close you could come use mine) to make the angled cuts. I'd have to go look at the saw to remember the angles, but thats a pretty common angle and a saw like that makes it super easy to duplicate.

like this, the newer version of mine:

Well my boss marked it up to 50 after I cleaned it.
Darn a miter saw I need to enlist Lynn's uncle to hlep with those cuts. Enough baby sitting in trade he might built it a canopy too, but i shouldn't get carried away. At least not more then I already have.
