I'm actually getting excited about this instead of dreading it
Can Leather corals be freshwater dipped? how about Rics and shrooms? I've only ever done palys and Zoas before but everything will need something done to remove the Flat worms so I can put corals in another tank during the redo- We Will the dottieback will live in the sump of the 95 if need be

Sure does look nice as is. I have to agree that the idea of crown modeling for the stand was very smart and creative. Yea whoever came up with that idea. Can't wait to watch this nano transform.

Oh I love your stand and canopy. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you're doing and how you stock.
Good luck.

Good luck with the rebuild.
Out of curiosity, why do you hate the setup so much?

It never looks good The intake for the HOB filter prevents cool aquascaping and also makes it really hard to clean. I hesitate to glue frags down since I don't like the rock & the urchin knocks everything over,
the tank has had Zoa eating nudibranchs, currently infested with flat worms and spaghetti worms .....
Boy what a whiner I am
I am excited though my pumps will be here tomorrow. I think removing the HOB will allow me alot more space

Ok, it sounds like you have been in the hobby longer than me and I am sure you have heard this stuff before. But here is a couple of my suggestions.
Build your rock structures outside of the tank. In my last aquascaping project I used a combination of Acrylic rods, Superglue and Aquamend. By doing this stuff you can build the nice structures that you are looking for.
Also ,when you get new corals you should really try to dip them. I have not always been the most diligent, but I always FW/Lugol dip my Zoas.

I like the idea of outside the tank aquascaping. I wish I'd spent more time on mine... but out of the water too long can be a problem if you're hoping to not have any die off.
