I also thought maybe a good clear vinal tablecloth but Eric said that would trape mosture under it. So it would portact it from the salt but not the water.

That's a great idea!
What about having a peice of plastic over the top of it for the time being? You can get semi thick clear plastic that will sit ontop fairly cheap,.. and it can be cut with sizzors,.. this will protect the furnature from both the tank and anything you sit on it.

I love my yasha and randal's pistol pair... how about a tiny star fish - When Eric took me around out there they had these sweet red star fish at one of the stores, the sexy shrimp... I really need a tank with sexy shrimp in it!
ooooooooooooooo what about a harlequin shrimp and you can feed it the evil astrena star fish?
