It's looking great. I hope you can figure out your bubble problem because I really liked your DIY skimmer. Great start.

Since actual light output is a bit of a guess with the LED's I'm using, does anyone want to suggest what sort of corals I ought to try?

I'm thinking green star polyps, mushrooms, zoanthids, ricordia?

maybe an umbrella leather?

its only 4 watts, but LED's are 95% efficient ...

Good luck ! (heading to read up on leds again)

If you build enough of a shelf to elevate it all, those should be ok. Except maybe the rics I am not so sure if they will make it. Its an adventure, start with GSP and work your way up.

there will be 5-7 lbs rock and 10-12 lbs sand in there soon. the rock should make for a platform to set stuff on

remember that full depth (surface to sand) it's only going to be 9 inches so light penetration is less of a crisis.

wiskey, i could put the mermaid back in there too if you'd like
