Since actual light output is a bit of a guess with the LED's I'm using, does anyone want to suggest what sort of corals I ought to try?
I'm thinking green star polyps, mushrooms, zoanthids, ricordia?
maybe an umbrella leather?
its only 4 watts, but LED's are 95% efficient ...

i say go with mushrooms ! heh they are low light kinda coral any way and if they make it for a while then move on to some of the other things (unknown to me at this time) heh i love the LED system BTW and think its fantastic that some ones finly going to do something with em on there tank ! Good luck ! (heading to read up on leds again)

If you build enough of a shelf to elevate it all, those should be ok. Except maybe the rics I am not so sure if they will make it. Its an adventure, start with GSP and work your way up.

there will be 5-7 lbs rock and 10-12 lbs sand in there soon. the rock should make for a platform to set stuff on
remember that full depth (surface to sand) it's only going to be 9 inches so light penetration is less of a crisis.
wiskey, i could put the mermaid back in there too if you'd like
