Update:

The little guy has rebounded pretty well today. He's started building a burrow and seems much more comfortable, but still extremely shy. He's quite a comical fish to watch.
Here's the finished tank--I still have to notch some plexi around the plumbing to make a better lid (it's kind of rigged together now). I'm gonna leave the light off for a while to get him to feel more comfortable. I'll probably end up putting another piece of live rock or 2 in there.

This is the best pic I've been able to take of the fish so far (I can't get very close):

Maybe I should have this thread moved to the Nano build off...can you do this for me Jeff?

I'm planning on adding 2 more fish--maybe both jawfish, or 1 jawfish and a different kind of fish. Any ideas? Maybe a firefish or a clown goby?

A jaw fish specific tank would be cool, as they are mouth brooders. If you do get something else get something that doesn't hang out at the bottom like a cardinal.
Are you going to keep teasing us with side shots of your fish room, or are you going to to give us the tour?

I finished the top today. I tried to make it as secure as possible with a rudimentary door.
I'll get pics of the whole room once I clean up a little.

Cool tank. The jawfish and deep sand are interesting in a tank that small.

Well I'm pretty much done, though I think I might need to add another rock or 2.

Side view:

Fish are still a little shy...
