haha, what a bunch of chancers!
Ok, well after keeping an eye on the hobby for some 25 years i got my first marine tank about ooo, a week ago... I cant do DIY, im as artistic as a badger with a smacked backside, but hey what i dont have in ability and knowledge i make up for in, um, I make up for in.....in.... errr.... something else
Ok so my tank rationale....
My rationale is this... recycled, re-used or sustainable...
So, the theme in effect is a low impact setup based on re-using what others dont want...
Equipment: I cant list my equipment as I havent got it yet, but the criteria is that I will scrounge or buy off other hobbyists what others dont want to use as equipment... Unless completely stuck I will not buy from retailers
Critters: Either captive bred/ aquacultured or critters other hobbyists no longer want and are getting rid of... frags from other hobbyists etc
The most ideal possibility would be that the setup produces frags or critters that go to other hobbyists... not sure if this will happen
Most important criteria is I have fun doing it, and other people have fun giving me advice and seeing how it progresses... and PLEASE DO give me advice and make suggestions...i'll need all the help i can get...
