thanks for the kind words of advice but i dont want a fixture because ill be paying 150$ less with the retro fit

2x175 would be wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much for a 20 long. I think a single 150 would still be enough for this tank. maybe 2x70

300 watts of mh over a 20 long?????? personally I think you would have boiled fish but hey, stranger things have happened and I've been wrong on almost every post. hehe

im going to run 2 4" fans bothe pushing in and venting out the back of the canopy

ok well i got some lr from the lfs along with my new fish (dofferent tank) its not much but its moveing along
im not going to get the lights or anything like that untill the cycle is finishes no sense in wasteing energy
