i got catalinaaquarium.com to put a kit together for me for 95$ but if you dont want to spend that you could get the nova extreme t5 retro fit

I have thought about the nova before, but w/o individual reflectors its not as cool. How many bulbs are you getting from catalina for 100? I didnt see and 18" listed on the site, was it custom?

I agree with digi or birdsnest. I hear scroll is pretty easy too but I've never had one of those.

I bought the Nova Extreme light fixture and it's 'ok' but really needs the individual reflectors like fish.freak mentioned

yes it is somewhat custom i told the to give me 2 18"x4" reflectors and a balast that could power 2 18" t5 bulbs
couldnt you do some kind of mod to the nova extreme to make it have dual reflectors?
good i really like birdsnests and digis
i still cant upload any pics it woulnt work on the comps at work or my home pc ?

still haveing trouble with pics but ill describe my progress ive built the canopy frame and have planed the stand out but i will update on progrewss when i get a little further

i was wondering do i really need a sump because i dont want to go through the hassel of finding a return pump to match the drain gph and every thing could i use the hob filter with sps?
