NP bud... Matt at OTP almost always has Yellow Tangs and occasionally has Scopas Tangs available. Although if I were to guess I would still say that the Yellow is going to be cheaper than any other tang you can buy. Just remember that you may not be able to add any other tangs into your tank due to their temperment with their own species. I've tried three times already and have had to separate mine everytime attempted. Some people have had success though (guess I'm not one of the lucky ones though).

I was told pretty much the only way to get them to "get along" is to buy them at the same approximate size and to introduce them at the SAME time. Supposivly this way, one will not become dominate over the other.

why are tangs so addicting???? I like my blue hippo(3rd one, first one I got from petco died, second one jumped the tank) my Nasso (lol 3rd also fist from WOF couldn't get to eat, 2nd petco i think, 3rd something fishy) a purple tang( took that one in days after setting the tank up, I wasn't ready for it but the store was closing) and well now.... I ended up getting a unicorn tang. why it was so cheap I had to. Its smaller then the other 2 I have in my tank so I'll see what happens tonight but I have a weak spot for them. I REALLY need a bigger tank.

ive heard that another way to keep multiple tangs is to get tangs of diferent shapes....from what i was told and read that tangs of the same or similar shape and size will fight but enlongated tangs like my kole and a blunt tang like a yellow should and could get along...

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN AARON..........i love tangs....to me they are just cool lookin fish...i think the one thing that gets me is they are pretty good priced as well as being hansome fish...

im really glad that i bought my kole tang since i havent seen one since....im thinkin bout tryin a yellow in my tank....there was a large yellow in the tank with the kole when i bought it and them seemed to get aong good...

Well My naso is just beating the crap out of the unicorn. I spent hours this afternoon trying to catch the naso(figured I'd give him a little time out... I didn't succeed)

Yes different shapes are suppose to help. But there is different aggressiveness in them also. Purple and Yellows are the same shape but a purple is usually much more aggressive and would be put in last because if this, you may still have issues.

Regardless of that. I'm going to have issues due to my tank being so small I've exceed my limit already.

on a side note. while going after the naso today the unicorn settled down and started to show a very nice hint of blue through its body. man I like it, but I really like my naso also.
