Woot. Canon 100mm Macro! :D

So my Canon 100mm Macro came in today. Took it home on lunch and tried a few shots handheld but definitely need a tripod. I'll shoot some more after work and see how they turn out and post them. Guess I'll be able to offer something more if people want me to come take shots of their tanks now!

You will love it I have the same one and it is a great all around close up lense even outside and portraites. You will find that taking pics of your tank that you will need to use the manual focus setting. It seems to like focusing on the glass.

Turn the pumps off when you are taking pictures of stuff in the tank, it actually picks up on the water movement.

you guys. I was WORKING when I put this up. Still experimenting with my WB and aperture to really capture the colors perfectly. Will hopefully have more time tomorrow night and get them up.

I know, I have failed you.

Seriously I will dedicate myself tonight when I get home. Was working on some plumbing for my office tank last night so I didnt have a chance to take any before the lights went off and figured out the right settings to have good pictures. Seemed like a lot of them were turning out over exposed so I was playing with my aperture and stuff to try and correct. Ideally I'd rather not photoshop TOO much.
